Heating water in standard car washes (gas, heating oil) costs 6 CZK per car. Washing the car in our car wash costs 0 CZK in most months. The water is heated by photovoltaic panels. When the sun shines, the electricity produced and not consumed is used to heat the purified water, which is ready for immediate use for car washing. In adverse weather conditions and at night, the cost is halved to about 3 CZK per car because the water is heated to the required temperature. In this way we have a supply of about 6 - 8 m3 of preheated water. Based on a sober estimate and real values of used electricity we SAVE about 70 - 80% , which means that the estimated annual electricity costs amount to 150 000 CZK.
